Our Response
The devastating 2015 earthquake struck Dolakha and
surrounding regions, leaving countless families without
homes and many children traumatized. Our founding
members immediately responded by organizing emergency
relief efforts on the ground.
We focused heavily on child trauma, identifying an immediate
need to help children process the event. We initiated drawing
support activities to help young ones express their feelings
and cope with the immense stress of the disaster, creating
safe spaces for them to heal. This crucial initiative laid
the profound groundwork for our future commitment to sustainable
child support and community empowerment, eventually birthing
the NGO we recognize today as Bravehearts Nepal.
